What is The PAW? I’m glad you asked! When I first joined the Welsh Terrier Mailing List, aka Welsh-L, one of the list members would tell us about one of her Welsh Terriers, Rusty. Rusty was always getting into things - whether it was stealing a thawing turkey that was on the kitchen counter and presumably above the “high terrier line” to finding a way to crawl out onto the garage’s roof, Rusty was a legend and embodied the intelligence and quick thinking Welsh Terriers are known for. Often, the list member would post a comment from Rusty that included, “Power to The PAW!”.
The PAW, simply put, is all the Welsh Terriers, past and present, who have been on Welsh-L. I reserved the domain name and decided to use it because it was simple for people to remember.
There’s more to the story, but I won’t bore you with tales of renegade Welsh Terriers and their legendary battles against the OPOO in a bid for world dominance…
